Electrical emergency? Call now.
Burning smell, sparks, a dead panel, or a real safety risk. Call and we move.
Alamo Heights runs along Broadway with Austin Highway cutting the top of it and the Olmos Basin holding the western edge. It is one of the oldest built-out pockets in the metro, and the housing stock shows it: brick and stucco homes that have been standing long enough to have outlived two or three ideas about what a house should be able to run.
That is the whole electrical story here. The bones are good and the wiring is old. We do a lot of panel work on this side of town, and we wrote up what we keep finding in our guide to older Alamo Heights homes. The same pattern shows up a few blocks south in Terrell Hills and Olmos Park, where the homes are the same era and the panels are the same age.
Field notes
What we run into in Alamo Heights
Original panels still in service
A house built before the war and never fully updated is often still on its original service with a few decades of additions hung off it. We size the new service for how the house is actually used now, not for how it was used when the panel went in.
Ungrounded two-prong circuits
Older Alamo Heights homes commonly have ungrounded branch circuits behind three-prong outlets someone swapped in later. That is a real hazard and an easy one to miss. We test for it before we quote, and we tell you what we find.
Renovation load stacked on old wiring
Kitchens and primary suites get redone here constantly. The finishes end up beautiful and the circuit behind them ends up carrying twice what it was run for. We separate the loads properly rather than adding one more thing to a tired circuit.

You get the price up front and you approve it before we touch a wire. No hourly meter running while you watch.
Clean job site
We protect your floors, haul our mess, and leave the space the way we found it. You should not be able to tell we were there, except the work is done right.
